They too seemed to have problems with finding cool applications, putting your credit card on the screen to pay is quite funny, hopefully we will have to wait some years until there will be RFID-Money…
Hopefully there will be SDKs soon. Well, I think that’s been it for my project and Touchlib. But it’s Microsoft. They won’t do a linux version, so there is still some potential left.
NetworkManager ist der letzte Dreck. Zuerst dachte ich, auf Grund mangelnder WPA-Unterstützung käme ich nicht ins Netz. Allerdings hatte das Teil nur vergessen den wpa_supplicant-daemon zu starten. Daraufhin probierte ich es mal mit WEP aus. Zeigte sich, dass er nur manchmal so freundlich ist, das überhaupt in der Liste anzuzeigen. Und jetzt die Krönung, es geht nichtmal ohne Verschlüsselung! (Da gehört schon was dazu…)
Ginge ganz einfach, würde der Installer nicht dazwischenfunken.
Wenn es ans partitionieren geht, “Geführte Partitionierung, ganze Platte” auswählen (nicht “verschlüsselt”, das scheint auf iBooks nicht zu funktionieren!)
Dann einfach swap und / löschen (es bleibt dann die OpenFirmware- und die Yaboot-Partition übrig), auf dem freien Platz zunächst eine unverschlüsselte Partition für den Kernel anlegen (ich habe hier 1GByte, ext3) und unter /boot mounten. dann eine “physische Partition für Verschlüsselung” anlegen, darauf dann eine “physische Parition für LVM” und per LVM schließlich swap und / erstellen.
Falls die Partitionen benannt werden, ist darauf zu achten, dass nur [a-z] verwendet wird, scheinbar kommt es bei namen wie crypto-data zu Problemen.
Standby funktioniert so auch, überhaupt scheint alles zu laufen, sogar die Treiber des Broadcomm-WLAN-Chips sind schon dabei…
